Team 1699’s mission is to promote student interest in STEM through design challenges and hands-on work that build technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. Check out this year's challenge below!
Team 1699 is part of FIRST ® Robotics Competition and competes in The Ultimate Sport for the MindTM
FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.
During an FRC season, Bacon Academy’s Team 1699 students:
Build a robot they design themselves in just 8 weeks
Work alongside skilled mentors
Learn to use professional hardware and software
Develop skills such as engineering design, project management, programming, teamwork, public speaking, and strategic thinking
Compete in a difficult field game
Have fun!
